Terms of Use
1. Who provides the service
The Walk‑Check application and service are provided by Walk - Check Systems s. r. o., Bakulínyho 1177/9, 980 61 Tisovec, Slovakia, Reg. No. 55973426. Full details are in the legal notice.
2. What Walk‑Check is and is not
Walk‑Check produces a sealed record of a walkaround that was performed: video with a cryptographic seal and independent verification. The record states what was filmed, when and by whom.
Walk‑Check is not an airworthiness certification. It does not replace a pre-flight inspection, maintenance, an engineer, or the decision of the pilot in command. It does not assess whether an aircraft is fit to fly and gives no opinion on that.
Responsibility for the condition of the aircraft and for the decision to fly always remains with whoever bears it under the applicable regulations. The application is a tool for recording and evidencing an activity, not for judging it.
Part recognition, where enabled, is an aid, not an assessment. It can be wrong in both directions and its output is not a reason to fly or not to fly.
3. Account
You create the account yourself in the application. Provide truthful details and do not share your password: the signed-in person is recorded in every piece of evidence, so someone else signing in means someone else’s signature under your work.
Until the e-mail address is verified, you cannot start a walkaround: without verification the record would not be evidence.
You can delete your account at any time in the application or via the account deletion page.
4. Free and paid use
A new organisation has five free walkarounds, each up to 30 minutes. We charge further walkarounds under the contract with the organisation, or under a price list we email to the organisation before the first invoice. Invoices arrive by email; nothing is paid for or bought in the application.
5. What is not allowed
Do not use the application to film people as the subject of the recording, to circumvent workplace privacy rules, or to create records of someone else’s aircraft without the knowledge of its operator. Do not attempt to tamper with the seal, the audit trail, or records belonging to others.
Before the record is sealed, the server blurs a person whose face is visible in the frame; someone who keeps their back turned the whole time, and the hand of the person filming, stay unblurred. That does not relieve you of the duty to tell colleagues on the apron that you are filming.
6. What happens to records
A sealed record is evidence: the seal, the hash chain and the timestamp reveal any change to it, including ours. We keep it as evidence for at least four years, then in a deep archive. A sealed record is not deleted directly by whoever recorded it, nor by the organisation: its deletion is requested. After the request the record is hidden in the organisation and Walk‑Check keeps it in an archive as evidence, so that claims arising from the walkaround can be established. We actually delete it only on a justified request, as an exception, and for test footage. A record that is not yet sealed can be cancelled straight away in the app by whoever recorded it. After an actual deletion, the chain of proofs keeps the walkaround details and a trace of who deleted the record (details in the application privacy policy, section 8).
After account deletion, your records are no longer linked to your name and e-mail address; the records themselves remain in the organisation as evidence until the end of the retention period. Details about personal data are in the application privacy policy.
7. Availability and liability
We provide the service with due professional care but do not promise uninterrupted availability. The application works offline and uploads the record once a network is available.
We are not liable for damage arising from a decision made on the basis of a record or a recognition result. The reason is in section 2: a record states what was filmed, not whether an aircraft is fit for service.
8. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We announce a change in the application or by e-mail, and for a material change the application asks for your consent again. If you do not agree with a change, you may delete your account; sealed records remain as evidence (section 6).
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic. Disputes are resolved primarily by agreement; failing that, by the competent court of the Slovak Republic.
